Exploring the Mind’s Eye

In a return engagement to this special venue, the Minnesota Symphonic Winds explores the wonderful ability of our mind’s eye to respond to aural input in greatly imaginative ways.  Travel musically to sunny Italy with Peter Tchaikowsky’s Capriccio Italien and back to the time of castles and kings by way of conductor Timothy Mahr’s Courtly Intrigue.  Lose yourself during the City Rain of Minnesota’s own Judith Lang Zaimont or find your own spiritual journey during David Maslanka’s moving Give Us This Day. In observance of the centennial of Gustav Mahler’s death, we will close the concert with the finale to his monumental Symphony No. 3
