MSW opens its 32nd season with a spirited concert that features the premiere of Carl Schroeder’s Remembrance and oboist Kristin Cooper on the Autumn Soliloquy by Barnes.  Works from Ticheli, Ganne, Mahr and Hesketh join the Finale to the New World Symphony by Dvorak to fill out the challenging program.

AUTUMN WINDS REVISITED

MSW pairs with the Minneapolis South HS Wind Ensemble (Scott Carter, conductor) in a reprisal of selected repertoire presented just a few days earlier in Golden Valley.  Each group will perform separately and will join forces to close the performance.

The MSW welcomes the holiday season with a delightful program that features trumpeters David Rickheim and Michael Rickman on Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets and MSW Associate Conductor William Webb sharing Hazo’s recent Three Minnesota Portraits, commissioned by the Edina HS Concert Band.  Favorite holiday classics join another highlight - our annual silent auction, which promises to streamline your holiday shopping!

GUEST CONDUCTOR CONCERT

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION
